James Lovell is an established photographer based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.
He specialises in Wedding and Landscape photography where he aims to capture those special moments, whether on a couples happiest day or watching nature's show.
James' style is to provide a reportage feel to his work and to shoot what he sees, rather than try to manipulate post shoot.
He arrived on this planet in March 1971 in St Mawes, Cornwall. Now residing in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, he has on his doorstep two of the most photogenic areas of the country - the Yorkshire Dales and North Yorkshire Moors.
James' interest in photography can be credited to his late Grandfather, who was himself a keen amateur photographer, developing his own work at one stage. He acquired a 35mm Olympus Trip when he was 13 and then moved on to a Pentax Program A film SLR. This was then replaced after a number of years of good use with a Canon EOS500, until he took the leap into the digital world, buying the Canon EOS 5D.
James normally works exclusively using Canon digital SLR's but has recently started to use an old Lomo Lubitel medium format film camera, which is proving fun to use!
Camera list:
