Fountains Abbey is Great Britain's largest monastic ruin and stands on a site, close to the towns of Ripon and Harrogate in North Yorkshire. Dating back nearly 800 years, the abbey is now in ruins, but is maintain by both the National Trust and English Heritage. On part of the Studley Estate, Fountains Abbey, stands alongside Studley Royal water gardens and deer park.
